Volunteer Information

Volunteers are the lifeline of our organization. If you can donate about one hour a week for food packaging or delivery of meals, please JOIN US.
Volunteer drivers deliver the meals between the hours of 11:15 and 12:30 PM one day each week. The drivers graciously donate their cars and gas as well.
Kitchen volunteers help in the Ambler Hall kitchen from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.

        CHARLES SMITH
Charles serves the Boone Hill route every Tuesday and goes way past what is expected of a volunteer in taking care of his people. Also, he substitutes often and recently "saved the day" by volunteering to learn and deliver the Dorchester Road route while the normal Stantech Engineering deliverers had company holidays!

           BEATRICE PINKNEY
Bea works in the kitchen on Tuesdays but is always willing to come in on short (10 minutes!) notice to fill in for one of the staff cooks when asked. She is a retired operating room nurse who really knows how to get things done! And, Bea is a wonderful lady who brings joy and laughter everyday to everyone wherever she goes!
          SANFORD STONEY
Sanford has been involved with MOW since its 1982 inception. His early days started with going to the Food Bank and making up maps for the routes. He now comes in daily after picking up the mail from the post office and still goes on a route 4 days a week at 90 years old. Thanks for your many years of dedicated service Sanford!
       WAYNE & MARIE LODGE
Wayne and Maria Lodge have recently moved to Summerville from Woodbury, NJ and are already an asset to Meals on Wheels. In the month of March they delivered meals not one a week but three times a week! They now have their own route on Wednesdays and travel to Jedburg.

People Helping People
Wherever a man or a woman turns he can find someone who needs him. Even if it is a little thing- do something for which there is no pay- but the privilege of just doing it. Remember, you don't live in the world all on your own.
