Meals on Wheels of Summerville, Inc. is a community sponsored program designed to provide home-delivered nutritious noon meals for those who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Recipients are recommended by their doctor, church, social service agencies, or friends/relatives for participation in the program.

    Each weekday about 149 meals are prepared in the Meals on Wheels kitchen by our two staff cooks.  The meals are packed by kitchen volunteers and delivered by volunteer driver/rider teams on 15 routes throughout the greater Summerville area.  About 175 volunteers per week are needed to keep the program running successfully.
