The BI-LO Charity Classic golf tournament, started in 1984 to benefit Meals On Wheels in Greenville, SC, has raised over $34 million for SC, NC, GA and TN charities. Thank you BI_LO for a $10,000 donation this year! A Joyous Christmas Celebration! On December 6th Robin and Linda Williams and their fine group brought a great Christmas show to Summerville and helped raise over $8,000 for Meals On Wheels. Thanks to Robin and Linda and to all sponsors for your support! Begun in 1974 by the Rotary Club of Charleston to serve the Tri-county area, the Coastal Community Foundation now serves eight coastal counties. We are thankful for a $5000 open grant gift in support of Meals On Wheels this year.  
                               
The Gary and Gay Hartmann Christmas charity golf tournament each year benefits local charities. Meals on Wheels has received a $2400 gift donation this year. Thank You Hartmann family for your hard work and generosity! Saul Alexander, a humble Russian Ukraine immigrant, arrived penniless in America at the age of 16 and became the successful owner of his own drygoods store in Summerville.In 1952, a trust in his name was established. Thank you Saul Alexander Foundation for a $2000 grant this year! Piggly Wiggly Carolina has become the largest privately owned, family operated company in South Carolina servicing over 100 retail stores, annual sales of over $700 million, and a workforce of over 5, 000. Thank you for your generous donation of $1600 this year.
